I recently watched a vendor give a presentation, and was
very impressed with his delivery style and energy. It was clear that he’d given this
presentation many times, but it seemed fresh.
Afterwards I asked him how he was able to present the same information
over and over again. “It’s not about the
material,” he said. “I focus on the fact
that I have a new audience.”
If you’re teaching something that you’ve taught before –
even many times – there’s a tremendous insight there for you: focus on the new
group of people.
